Jeff has a degree in Physics from the University of Birmingham.

Career to date

Jeff qualified in 1973 and headed up the Patents Department of Dowty Group PLC before joining our Bristol office.

Personal skills

Jeff takes a pro-active approach with the benefit of in-house patent management experience and an understanding of the pressures faced by clients.

Sector experience

Jeff has wide professional experience of electrical and communications technology, specialising in mobile telephony, including 3G, GSM and UMTS products.

Client experience

Jeff’s primary clients include Ubinetics, a Cambridgeshire spin off from PA Consulting, Hewlett Packard and Microsulis Medical.

Notable successes

Jeff has established a large patent portfolio for Ubinetics, helping them to forge a strong position within the mobile telecommunications market.

On a personal note...

Jeff lives in the centre of Bath Spa - a World Heritage Site famed for its Roman baths and 18th century architecture - and is well placed to indulge his passion for the Arts and music, especially opera. Jeff has an ever growing collection of paintings, mostly British 20th century artists, and is a keen supporter of St George's Music Trust in Bristol. Jeff also enjoys playing golf and hill walking, the latter now restricted to a vacation activity. Jeff now has two grand-daughters to help keep him young.
