Simon has a joint honours degree in Physics and Electronic Engineering. His doctorate related to the application of nuclear magnetic resonance techniques.

Career to date

Simon initially worked as an Electronics Engineer before joining the patent profession in 1990. Simon joined our Bristol office in 1995.

Personal skills

Simon’s interest in technology drew him to the IP profession and his engineering experience is of value in his day to day work.

Sector experience

Simon specialises in electronics and has particular experience in the aerospace and telecommunications fields.

Client experience

Simon works for a number of clients across a range of technologies, including Analog Devices, Hewlett Packard and Goodrich Control Systems.

Notable successes

Simon’s reputation for thoroughness and technical expertise recently led to his securing substantial drafting work for a multinational electronics company.
