Michael has a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Loughborough University.

Career to date

As a graduate engineer, Michael gained valuable industrial experience in research and development work in the field of radio communications with the Plessey Company Ltd before joining us in 1977.  Based in our London office, Michael became the Firm's Chairman in April 2006.

Michael’s technical background and industrial experience in research and development gives him an in-depth knowledge in the electronics field.

Sector experience

Michael’s experience covers electronic technology and radio frequency, including medical devices, satellite navigation, antennas and communications.

Client experience

Michael specialises in electronics patent work for clients including the Gryus Group PLC and Sarantel Ltd. He frequently travels internationally and is often called on to meet clients in Japan and the Far East.

Notable successes

Michael has a strong track record in successful patent prosecution and his in-depth technical knowledge has been invaluable in getting patent applications granted with strong claims.
