Tania ClarkLLB, LLM, Barrister, MITMAAssociateHigher Education Tania has an undergraduate law degree from Birmingham University and a postgraduate law degree from London University (LSE). She also has a Diploma in French Law from Limoges University in France. Tania is qualified as both a Barrister and a Trade Mark Attorney. Career to date Tania began her legal profession working in the IP departments of firms of solicitors and in house for a subsidiary of Total. Tania has been a trade mark attorney for the last 10 years and worked for two other major firms of trade mark and patent attorneys before joining us in 2006. Tania is based in our London office. Personal Skills Tania has particular expertise in licences, assignments and CTM oppositions. She enjoys giving presentations to clients and providing cost effective advice on the management of their portfolio. Sector Experience Tania has handled multinational trade mark applications and is a keen advocate of the Madrid Protocol system. She has dealt with clients in most sectors but her present portfolio includes companies in the following fields: insurance, beverages, electronics and jewellery. She particularly enjoys being proactive in protecting the rights of her clients through watching notices and regular reviews of their portfolios; she strives to anticipate their filing needs and to continually advise her clients on policing use of their trade marks and designs. Tania has strong communication skills and is adept at negotiating settlements of conflicts. She has had considerable experience in managing worldwide filing programmes. Tania is a committee member at INTA, and a Council Member and an examiner for ITMA. She is also a pension trustee and member of the Finance Committee at the Hurlingham Club. |
