Caroline DitumBEngTechnical AssistantHigher education Caroline graduated in 1999 with a BEng in Materials Science and Engineering from The University of Birmingham. Caroline then followed this with a PhD, also at the University for Birmingham, in which she researched the fabrication and characterisation of ferroelectric materials for use in microwave circuits in telecommunications. Career to date Caroline joined Withers and Rogers as a trainee patent attorney in 2006 and is based in the Midlands Office. Sector experience Materials-related work, including photovoltaic silicon manufacture, cast iron access covers and gratings, electronic displays, non-destructive testing, and spectrometry. Also, general mechanical work, including ink jet cartridges. On a personal note... Caroline enjoys various sports and outdoor pursuits, and at present is trying to improve her rock climbing and running. Caroline also enjoys travelling, and in 2004 spent six months living in China, teaching English. Whilst in China, she picked up the basics of Mandarin Chinese, and is now continuing studying Mandarin in her spare time. |
