Richard AyresBA (Honours) in EconomicsMarketing & BD ManagerHigher education BA (Hons) degree, Economics, Leeds University Career to date Richard has considerable experience within the professional services arena having served as a regional marketing manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, the world’s largest professional services firm, for a number of years. Prior to this, he had significant spells within automotive manufacturing including Toyota Motor Corporation and Austin Rover. His experience of working directly for clients while employed within the Midlands marketing consultancy sector is also extensive and involved a variety of industry sectors including building, construction, engineering, property development, development agencies, transport, health and charities. Notable successes At PricewaterhouseCoopers, Richard was instrumental in helping the regional practice achieve double digit growth in three consecutive years despite facing a mature, highly competitive market place. At Toyota Motor Corporation, his planning for the launch of the new generation Corolla to over 400 European journalists, led to the generation of more than five million pounds worth of free publicity and, helped boost sales by more than eleven per cent compared to the previous model. Personal skills A keen understanding of effective planning and the importance of identifying effective processes and procedures compliment Richard's considerable knowledge of business targeting and prioritisation techniques. At the forefront of this is his ability to match industry specific needs with client-centric service delivery. Sector experience Richard's experience has been predominantly business to business as detailed above; consequently his marketing plans and subsequent campaigns implemented have reflected this. On a personal note... With two sons growing up fast and two extremely dodgy knees, his sporting days are sadly now over; consequently his attention has switched to the child coaching side! He does however remain active through controlled exercise (gym) and says reading, films and a re-kindled enjoyment of chess ensure there isn't a spare minute in the day. |
