What trade mark attorneys do - our services in detail

Withers & Rogers’ Trade Mark Group is supported by in-house search facilities including computer links to the UK and European Community Trade Mark Offices. We have a computerised records and renewals system in-house so that we are able to offer a comprehensive service to clients here in the United Kingdom and abroad. Our case management system facilitates Group members working together from different offices and while travelling. Should litigation become necessary, our attorneys have extensive experience of instructing specialist barristers in the English Courts and active involvement in the ensuing legal proceedings.

The Trade Mark Group offers a full trade mark prosecution service to clients in the United Kingdom, the European Union and abroad. Experienced practitioners within the Group file and prosecute applications to register trade marks, provide registrability and infringement opinions, manage international brand portfolios, handle oppositions, cancellation and other ‘with notice’ proceedings; prepare and register trade mark licences, maintain regular watches, and prosecute applications for certification and collective marks.

Members of the Trade Mark Group work closely with overseas firms of trade mark attorneys to prosecute and enforce trade marks in many countries throughout the world. The European Community Trade Mark Office provides a unitary Community Trade Mark for the European Community countries. Members of the Trade Mark Group and all of our other attorneys are registered to practice before the European Community Trade Mark Office.
